Are you tired of buying store brands?

I find myself watching other people check out, and literally running a talley in my head of what they could have saved by using coupons. No matter if it is  an elderly lady with 6 items, that could have
saved $2.50 or a young couple that could have saved $75.00. I see no reason for anyone to give away money they could have kept in their own pockets.

I have mentioned to people that I use coupons, and I usually get the response "I don't have time to fool with coupons, and I don't have the patience either." Well, I don't have time to call the power company to ask for an extension, or the patience to wait on a paycheck, tax return or decission on a loan. I use my resources, to make a better life by cutting my grocery bill in order to use that money on other bills, investments, and emergencies in life.

As I shop, I watch other people lol, why not they are watching me and my coupon book! Most people glance back and forth between the store brand and the national brand. In most cases they shrugg their shoulders and throw the store brand in their cart and move on down the aisle. I on the otherhand go straight for the national brand, usually multiple boxes. I know that I have a coupon, that in most cases will double, I couple that with the in store sale, and I take those products home for little or nothing. This is a regular occurance in my house, when you open my cabinets you will not find huge white boxes with generic names. You will find the same products advertised on the TV, the products that I use to indulge in, when there was extra money. Now those same products are used in my home daily without a second thought. I don't make decissions between the good toilet tissue or the store brand, I buy the best, and I pay the least!!!

Now I know that the end result of my couponing is FREE or almost FREE items. However, there is time involved, not a lot, but I do have to cut the coupons, organize them and actually USE them in order to save money. I have just bumped my number up to 10, that means that I now buy 10 Sunday papers instead of the 4 that I originally started using. This runs me $10/week, this is a small investment considering I save a minimum of $60 on most shops. If you multiply that $60 by 4 if you shop weekly, you have a $40 investment in order to save $240. Who doesn't have time to save a minimum of $240, I certainly would make time, and I do just that.

Here is my latest haul, these are all national brands, with a considerable amount of these itemse being FREE.

6 crunch n munch 50 cents each
6 G2 gatorade FREE
14 Tonys Pizza FREE
20 Progresso Soups 50 cents each
8 Hunts Ketchup 40 cents each
9 Hamburger Helper 75 cents each
2 Oust FREE with overage
1 Minute Rice 60 cents
2 Frenchs Mustard 60 cents each
10 Duncan Hines mixes 45 cents each

There are other items in the picture, most were clearance items that I may not have used coupons on . I checked out with 140 items, food and household goods, for $101. I used 97 coupons, ranging from 30 cents to $2.00 off per item. I actually had to check out and pay cash, then the coupons were rang up seperately and I was given cash back, because I used so many coupons.

As you can see these are national brands, that you too can take home for a fraction of the cost.

Here the Fiber One pop tarts are on close out. I used the 50 cent coupon that doubled to $1 allowing me to take each box home for 9 cents each. I used one coupon per box, it is a good thing that I now buy 20 papers per week.

These Kelloggs brand cereals, were roughly $1 each. I took advantage of a B1G1 sale at Bi-Lo, and used a $1.50/2 coupon. Again buying 20 papers allows me to take full advantage of these great sales.
