Get on the Coupon Train....choo choo its going to leave without you

Chugga Chugga Choo Choo! The train is leaving the station, is it coming to you?

I know that we all are busy, and not everyone has time to find the coupons that they need. Well what if there was a coupon train? You don't know what I mean, huh, well let me explain.

A coupon train is a group of people that share the interest (obsession lol) of couponing. These people are interested in using the coupons that they normally do not use to attain coupons that they use on a regular basis.

The first step would be to get a group of people together, then decide how you will get the coupons to one another. You could use the mail system, you could meet in person, or anything that is convenient for you. Then you each would need to make a list of common used items that you use coupons for. If you use coupons for lunch meat, but you could use more coupons if they were available, put that on your list. Or if you prefer Tide detergent, and would like coupons for that, add that to your list. After everyone has made their individual list, combine them into one master list, include every ones name so that you know who to get the coupon to.

Each person on the train should receive a copy of the master list, as a member of the train, keep this list in your binder or wherever you clip your coupons. Whenever you come across the coupons that someone else needs, set them aside, and get the train moving.

Let's say that Susan joined the train and she needed additional coupons for diapers. Well Jason joined the train and had no need for the diaper coupons that he clipped, so he would put those coupons aside for Susan. In turn Jason may need Yoplait yogurt coupons, and since Susan prefers organic yogurt, she in turn swaps with Jason. Both people are getting the coupons that they need, without any extra time or steps, except maybe the time needed to get the coupons to one another.
