Circular Savings

What are Circular Savings?
Well very simple, it is saving the most that you can by using the weekly circular to build your grocery list, and weekly meals.

How?
Meal planning is something that all of us do, even if it is not daily, we plan a meal at some point in the week even if it's just Sunday dinner. Well with Circular Savings, meal planning is based on the meat and side items that are on sale that particular week. If chicken breast are on sale and ground beef isn't, we certainly would not plan lasagna and meat loaf for that week. A more cost efficient plan would be chicken salad, maybe homemade chicken noodle soup, or baked chicken with fresh veggies on the side.

It is also wise to take advantage of any B1G1, buy one get one, promotions that when combined with manufacturer coupons could result in the items being free or darn close! FYI one coupon is allowed per item, that includes the free item, so you not only save on the item purchased, the savings on the free item will be applied to your overall bill. What does that mean? You are paid for purchasing the item!

Check store fliers as well as their circulars, some chains such as Bi-Lo offer a monthly publication that has store coupons inside as well as unpublished month long specials that may not appear in the weekly circular. Although the coupons are store coupons instead of national brand items, they allow an even larger discount on lower priced store brands, making them dirt cheap. You can't be that, especially when most stores will replace the product if you are not satisfied with the store brand.

Always compare the different circulars for the different grocery stores in your area. I know that everyone isn't up for multiple trips to multiple stores, however if it means that I save 50% on my grocery bill I am all for it! Also carry the circulars with you, that way if your in Wal-Mart and you think Bi-Lo has an item cheaper, flip through the circular and find out. Do not over pay for an item just because you think someone else in the aisle may give you a funny look, because your checking prices! They are probably in debt up to their eyeballs and could stand to learn something from you. I have explained couponing to so many people in the middle of the aisle at the grocery store it is not even funny.
