Seasonal Pick Me Ups

I know I know, there are those of you that just like to pay full price. I don't know what I am going to do with you guys, how can I convice you, let me try one more time.

I was out with a girlfriend the other day, couponing lol, that's what I call it when I am going trolling for deals. She picked up a pack of make up brushes, she loves her MAC make-up. I just shook my head, and she said "Here we go." Let me explain why.

The best time to buy any sort of make-up, brushes, or cologne is after Christmas, when gift sets are marked down. You can pick up your favorite perfume for 90% off just because of the way it is package. WOW!

The best time to buy tupperware, or any type of storage containers, again after Christmas. Of course they will be red or green, and they may say that they are made for decorations. Simply remove the cardboard dividers and enjoy the great deal.

Now let's talk about something more enjoyable, like chocolate. Well when the red and green wrapped hersheys kisses are marked down after Christmas, buy them. You can use the red ones for Valentines and the green for St. Pattricks Day or Easter.

Here Lizzy is happy to pose with chocolates that I found for 90% off at Rite Aid. Thats right 10 cent boxes of chocolate!
How could I pass that up? I couldn't, and the kids' teachers will be glad that I didn't. I am going to take the chocolate out of the heart boxes and place in a white box with colorful tissue paper. Russell Stover has nothing one me lol!

I am sure everyone knows to pick up next years decorations for little or nothing during the post holiday sales. You would be surprised how low those artificial trees are marked down after Christmas, the one I have now was $3 for a 6ft tree. Not to mention the Martha Steward decorations that were 90% off at K-mart.

What kind of things have you picked up after a holiday?
