Coupon here, coupon there, coupon coupon everywhere!

Ok so this week (2/1/2010) there is a Coke promotion at CVS, purchase $25 (shelf price) of Coke products and receive $10 ECB. I am going to max out this offer by using B1G1 coupons for Fuze drinks, that are on sale for $1 each, a great deal even without the coupon. These coupons can be found in convienent stores and gas stations. Plus I am going to use a $4 off $20 purchase, that I received for signing up for the pharmacy program thingy lol. Basically I am going to have an OOPS (out of pocket expense) of $9. Let me show you how.

26 Fuse Drinks                  $26
13 B1G1 coupons            -$13
1 $4 off $20                      -$4
                                        ---------
$9  and at the end of the transaction a $10 ECB will print for additional purchases. Unfortunately, this is one of he many CVS offers that limits one ECB per Extra Care Card. What does that mean? You can do this offer again, if you have more B1G1 coupons, but you can't receive the $10 ECB again. So you could actually use this ECB to pay for the offer and have an OOPS of $3.  I would do it, a total OOPS of $12 for 52 bottles of Fuze drinks. That equates to 23 cents per bottle.

Basically, the point is that you can get coupons from one place and use it at another store. I am going to get the coupon off the cooler door at a local gas station. I choose to use it at CVS, it is a manufacturers coupon, and can be used anywhere. It is not limited to the store that you get it from, so make sure to pick up a few. The same goes for the blinkies (red or black coupon dispensers on the shelves at grocery stores) just because you get the blinkie at Bi-Lo doesn't mean that you can't use it at Wal-Mart.  I will note that the blinkies usually beep when scanned at Wal-Mart, I don't know why, but the cashier will need to key them in as a vendor coupon.
